Allianz Capital Partners is honored to announce that for 2013 we received two outstanding awards for our investment activities: (i) Global Infrastructure Deal of the Year and (ii) Limited Partner of the Year in Europe.
Global Infrastructure Deal of the Year
Infrastructure Investor - an established magazine for the world’s infrastructure markets - asks their readers to vote for their choice after having drawn up a shortlist of four nominees and discussed the final selection with key industry players.
The award goes to Allianz Capital Partners, together with their consortium partner Borealis, for the acquisition of the Czech gas transmission operator NET4GAS in August 2013. The choice of the readers fell on this transaction because both investors – Allianz and Borealis – proved that the challenging environment in the European utilities sector still offers attractive opportunities to invest. The co-operation of such "blue-chip institutions" is regarded as exemplary amongst the readers. Infrastructure Investor portrays both organizations as savvy and reliable partners who won deservedly "the gold medal for global deal of the year."
Limited Partner of the Year in Europe
Selected by industry peers in the largest and most comprehensive survey of its kind, orchestrated by Private Equity International (PEI), the leading international publication for the private equity industry.
According to PEI, Allianz Capital Partners has been granted the award given its "diverse investment strategy", with sizeable and consistent commitments, despite ongoing regulatory headwinds, "taking a different path to many other European insurance firms". Industry peers have rated ACP’s due diligence to be "second to none".
"ACP is honoured to have received both awards demonstrating that we are recognized as one of the leading investors in both private equity and the infrastructure industry. But what is key for receiving such awards are our teams making these things happen with their ongoing commitment and wide-ranging specialist experience. Thanks to them!"
